Sea Island Resort, one of the world’s most celebrated luxury destinations, needed a digital experience that matched the sophistication and emotional allure of its brand. As Product Design and Development Lead, I guided the complete transformation of the resort’s website and mobile experience, focusing on crafting an elegant, user-centered platform that captured the spirit of Southern hospitality while simplifying trip planning and booking.
I began with an extensive discovery process, conducting stakeholder interviews and user research to identify core personas such as luxury travelers, family vacationers, and event planners. From these insights, I developed detailed user journeys and a refined information architecture to highlight the resort’s full range of offerings, including golf, dining, spa, and equestrian experiences. I designed clean, visually immersive interfaces using high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes that balanced cinematic imagery with intuitive navigation. Interactive tools were integrated for booking, itinerary planning, and special package exploration, ensuring that guests could seamlessly transition from inspiration to action across devices.
The redesigned platform elevated Sea Island’s digital presence to reflect its five-star reputation. Engagement and booking conversions rose sharply, supported by improved accessibility and responsive performance across mobile and desktop. Guests reported greater satisfaction with the ease of navigation and the depth of visual storytelling. The final product delivered not just a booking interface but a digital experience that communicated elegance, trust, and a true sense of place—mirroring the resort’s legacy of excellence.
