Poundland – Digital Retail Transformation

I led the UX/UI redesign of Poundland’s digital storefront to extend its value-driven retail philosophy into a modern online platform. The goal was to create a user experience that reflected the brand’s simplicity and affordability while maintaining usability at scale.

 

Through usability studies, heat-mapping, and competitor benchmarking, I identified navigation inefficiencies and cognitive overload within the existing design. I personally restructured the information architecture, designed mobile-first layouts, and introduced reusable UI components that prioritized clarity, speed, and accessibility. The visual style used clean typography and bright, approachable color palettes to reinforce brand trust and energy.

 

The redesigned experience improved dwell time, reduced bounce rates, and expanded Poundland’s eCommerce presence while staying true to its core promise of simplicity and value.
