Harvey’s Furniture – In-Store and Online Experience Integration

I led the UX and UI redesign for Harvey’s Furniture to bridge the divide between in-store and online customer experiences. The goal was to modernize how users discovered, customized, and purchased furniture while creating a cohesive digital-physical experience that aligned with Harvey’s brand values.

 

I conducted extensive customer interviews and in-store observations to map out buying behaviors and pain points. From this research, I designed the “Sofas By You” configurator app, allowing customers to visualize custom furniture options in real time through touch-based and mobile interactions. I created responsive prototypes, simplified navigation, and built a component library that supported product visualization, saving, and email follow-up functionality.

 

The integrated design increased in-store engagement and online conversions by giving users control and continuity across channels. The initiative transformed Harvey’s from a traditional furniture retailer into a digitally connected brand delivering personalized, seamless experiences.
