Devil May Cry 4 (Gaming – Promotional Design)
Format: Digital Campaign and Trailer Experience
Role: End-to-End Product Design and Development
CAPCOM, a global leader in interactive entertainment, engaged my team to create promotional materials for Devil May Cry 4, one of its most iconic action franchises. The goal was to build anticipation for the new installment while modernizing the series’ visual identity and preserving the core appeal of its legendary characters. The campaign required balancing authenticity with innovation and translating the energy of gameplay into a compelling, accessible digital experience.
Collaborating closely with CAPCOM’s development team, I integrated in-game assets directly into the creative workflow. This approach allowed for a refined redesign of the color palette and character presentation, resulting in a fresh yet faithful visual evolution of the brand. I led the design and development of the promotional trailer experience, focusing on clarity, pacing, and emotional impact. The process streamlined complex storytelling into clean visual sequences that highlighted the game’s mechanics, atmosphere, and narrative tension. Every creative choice, from typography to lighting and motion, reinforced continuity with the franchise while engaging new audiences.
The campaign achieved strong fan reception, with players praising the refreshed but recognizable look of the Devil May Cry universe. CAPCOM’s leadership credited the project with elevating the brand’s visual consistency and deepening anticipation ahead of launch. The collaboration demonstrated how early integration of creative and development workflows can produce authentic, visually powerful marketing that resonates across multiple audience segments.
